Landowners

Retain control of your land and money

Our Process

1. Baseline habitat assessment

We appoint a qualified ecologist to complete a preliminary assessment of the site, which provides an understanding of the baseline habitats.

The ecologist will also evaluate the quantum of biodiversity units that could be secured through a change in management of the bank site.

2. Preparation of management plan

Once we have agreed with you the target habitat to be achieved on site, we will then commission the ecologist to prepare the  management plan.

This will detail the management operations required to achieve the targe condition on site for the bank's lifetime (30 years).

3. Working with the Local Authority

We actively collaborate with Local Planning Authorities and our Responsible Body partners  to ensure full support for the proposed bank site and its target habitats.

This ensures alignment with:

  • Local Authority goals for Biodiversity Net Gain

  • The Responsible Body’s oversight and approval process

  • Local Nature Recovery Strategies in development

4. Sale of units to developers

Once the your land is established as a bank site, we will then approach developers and broker deals with them to sell units.

With our extensive contacts in the development sector we are perfectly positioned to be the bank provider of choice.

5. Establish bank site

You will only ever be required to implement the bank site after we have sold units and you have received your money.

We will take you step-by-step through the process of implementation and management, and advise on changes as an when required.

6. Management and maintenance

We will secure funds to complete the annual monitoring of your banks site.  These funds will be placed in a bond to protect them.

We will work with you over the 30-year management period to ensure you remain on trajectory to target habitat.
